The year 2018 has been filled up till throat with the launch of affordable and mid-budget smartphones that offer top-notch specifications. No matter what you require, you’ll land in a state of confusion when you look back at this year’s smartphone debuts. Huawei is no exception, and has come up with yet another masterpiece in the budget segment under its sub-brand Honor. While the brand is in no hurry to settle down, it has been propelling trendy and affordable smartphones in the Indian market, and the latest addition to the lot is the Honor 8X.

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is dedicated towards showcasing quality smartphones, that too in the budget segment. The Shenzhen-based tech giant was introduced in the year 2013 to compete with the likes of giants such as Xiaomi, Vivo, and Oppo. The year 2017-18 has been a great period for Huawei and Honor as they saw a huge jump in their smartphone businesses, and became the 2nd Global Smartphone leader around the globe. The tremendous success lead Huawei to beat Apple in the global market, with around 300% rise in smartphone shipments in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Honor 8X was launched last month in China, and now it has made its debut into the Indian market. The smartphone features a dual rear camera setup, up to 6GB RAM, and up to 128GB inbuilt storage, a display notch, and a stunning glass back. The key highlight of the smartphone is the GPU Turbo technology which increases the Honor 8X’s performance by up to 60%, and thereby, reducing the battery consumption by up to 30%. The GPU Turbo technology will let you enjoy heavy mobile games without any frame lags, by drawing higher efficiency through speed management and gaming optimisation. The stereo speakers on the Honor 8X, to boost you up with the Dolby Atmos surround sound, will never let you down.

The vertically stacked dual rear cameras are loaded with great shooting features, including the TUV blue-light protection, Portrait Mode with HDR, AR stickers, Super Night Scene modes, Sport shots, and AI Super Slow Motion recording modes. The 16MP front camera supports facial recognition for unlocking the device.

Equipped with a triple card slot tray, the Honor 8X comes in three storage variants – the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage for Rs 14,999, the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant at Rs 16,999, and the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at Rs 18,999. The storage can be expanded using a microSD card of up to 400GB in the dedicated memory card slot. The smartphone will retail exclusively via Amazon India and Honor’s official website from October 24, and will be available in Black and Blue colours.

Squaring up, the big 3,750mAh battery will last you a whole day on a single charge, and the 19.5:9 notch display will let you experience the most immersive video and gaming clarity. Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor will never let you down with the performance, along with the Mali-G51 GPU for gaming.
